A boy and his grandpa are heading to their first big league baseball game together. They'll cheer on their team, keep an eye out for fly balls, eat some peanuts, and hopefully watch their team win the game!

Have you gone to a baseball game? How was it the same? How was it different? Talk about it with a parent.
What other stories have you read about sports games? How were they alike? How were they different? Compare them using a Venn diagram. Share your diagram with a parent.
The boys' team won. What if they had lost? Would he have not had a good time? What makes a day at a game fun? Is it only winning? Talk about it with a parent.
Pretend you and a parent, or grandparent, are going to a ball game. Write a story about what you would want to happen, what you would eat, what the players would do, and how the game would end. Don't forget to draw and color pictures. Share your story with a parent.
