Discovery Questions
The children in the village didn’t have books. They didn’t have a library either. You are lucky to have a library. When was the last time you were there? What books did you look at? Talk about it with a parent.
Beto, the donkey, didn’t want to cross the stream. Think of another character in another story who doesn’t want to do something. Use a Venn diagram. Find five ways they are like Beto. Then find five ways they are different.
Luis did a very nice thing. He shared his books with the village children. Why is it important to perform acts of kindness? Discuss it with a parent.
Luis reads the children the story of the three pigs. All the children are wearing pig masks. What is your favorite story? With a parent’s help, make a mask of a character from that story. Put your mask on, and have your picture taken!
