Discovery Questions
This book is about kids being brave. When were you brave? What did you do? Talk about it with a parent.
Look at the picture of the children in the lunch room. A bully has made a boy cry. The boy with the crutch is scolding the bully. Write the story of what happened. Why does no one else come to the boy’s aid? Who is the boy with the crutch? Why does the bully not regret what she did? Share your story with an adult.
There is a picture of a stream. It is full of trash. The kids are cleaning it up. Why is it important to throw trash away properly? Discuss this with a parent.
Who is the bravest person you know? What makes them brave? Write a letter to them. Tell them why you think they are brave. With the help of a parent, mail the letter to them.
