Discovery Questions
The children’s grandfather tells them a story. Have you ever been told a bedtime story? Who told it? What was it about? Was it a made-up story? Was it a classic story? Share with an adult.
The leftover food had to be removed by the sanitation workers. It was an almost impossible job. Think of another story where someone had a difficult job. How are these stories alike? How are they different. Use a Venn diagram to compare them.
During the story the weather changed from being friendly to violent. Many scientists think the earth’s weather patterns are changing. They are calling this Climate Change. What have you heard about this? Discuss this with a parent.
Write a story about what you would want the weather to bring you for lunch. Draw a picture of how you get your meal. Share with an adult.
