• Danny is nervous to start a new school. Think of a time you were nervous. What made you nervous? What did you do to cope? Did someone help you? Talk about it with a parent.
• Think of another character who is different than their classmates. How are they like Danny? How are they different? Draw a Venn Diagram. List five ways they are like Danny. Then list five ways they are different.
• There are many different cultures. All cultures have their own customs and traditions. Discuss with an adult some of the different cultures you have in your community. How are their traditions like yours?
• Draw a picture of what your family's wampum belt would look like. Share with an adult.
