Discovery Questions
In the third story, Molly is very brave to cross the canyon on the magic strand of hair. When have you been brave? Write that story. Share your story with a parent.
Pick two of these stories. Compare the main characters. Using a Venn diagram show five ways they are alike. Then find five ways they are different. Share your diagram with a parent.
In the first story, Jack takes back the hen that the giant had stolen from Jack's father. In the second story, Olaf steals the silver ducks from the Troll, just because the King wanted them. Who has more of a right to be angry, the giant or the troll? Why? Talk about it with a parent.
Write your own fairy tale. It should have a monster of some kind. It should have magic of some sort. And, things happen in three's. Don't forget to draw and color the pictures. Share your story with a parent!
