After your child receives and reads this book, Discuss one or more of the following questions to help him/her make connections and build comprehension.

• Have you ever ridden on a bus? Would you like to? What things could you see out the windows of the bus? Where would you be going? Write a story about it. Share your story with a parent.
• When Jason got back on the bus, everyone cheered. What is another story where people cheered? How are they like the people on the bus? How are they different? Talk about it with a parent.
• Jason got the dog to move by talking kindly. Why is it important to talk kindly, not only dogs, but people too? Talk about it with a parent.
• Where did the dog go? Where did he belong? What was his name? Make up that story. Tell it to a parent!
