All the creatures in this book have adapted to their environment. These adaptations allow them to survive. Make a chart of the different kinds of adaptations. Some of these are camouflage, bioluminescence and tentacles. Put each of the creatures on that chart. Share your chart with a parent.

With a parent or librarian, research that animal. Find out where it lives. What it eats. How it protects itself from predators. Write about what you have learned. Share that with a parent or friend.

Invent your own weird sea creature. What does it look like? What does it eat? How does it avoid being eaten? Draw and color the pictures.
