  • Pele loved to play soccer. What do you love to do? Write about it. Share your story with a parent.
  • Pele is from Brazil. With a parent's help, research Brazil. Where is it? What is the weather like? What kinds of food do they eat? What language do they speak? What does the flag look like? What else is Brazil known for? Make a chart about what you learn!
  • Pele never forgot that he was once a poor boy. As he became a soccer star, he taught children all over the world to play soccer. Did he need to do this? Why did he do it? Talk about it with a parent.
  • After retiring from soccer, Pele did work for charities. He started a foundation, and also worked for UNICEF. Many different companies make sports equipment. Write a letter to the company of your choice. Ask them to donate to either Pele's foundation or UNICEF.
