Discovery Questions
We have five senses. The little girl in the story is looking for beautiful things. Her friends show her beautiful things that use all five of her senses. Find at least five beautiful things that use different senses. Write about it. Then share with a parent.
Just about everyone will agree that flowers are beautiful. Does everyone agree on what beautiful music is? Or artwork. Or food. Just because someone’s idea of beautiful is different from yours does not mean that it is less valid. Talk with family and friends about what they think is beautiful. Make lists. Compare everyone’s different ideas of beautiful.
Why do people throw trash on the ground? How can we stop them? Brainstorm with your family and friends. What can you do to make your neighborhood more beautiful.
Think of something you can do to make your world a little more beautiful. Then, with the help of a parent, go and do it.
