The Animals Would Not Sleep / Los animales no se dormian
After your child receives and reads this book, Discuss one or more of the following questions to help him/her make connections and build comprehension.
- The animals would not fall asleep. Do you ever have trouble falling asleep? What do you do? Talk about it with a parent.
- Marco wants his animals to go to sleep. What other character in another story goes to sleep? How are they like the animals? How are they different? Talk about it with a parent.
- When Marco sorts the animals by size they are all unhappy. He then comes up with a solution where everyone is happy. Why is it important to work toward a solution where everyone is happy? Talk about it with a parent.
- Draw a picture of you sleeping with your toys. Share your picture with a parent.
