Discovery Questions

After your child receives and reads this book, Discuss one or more of the following questions to help him/her make connections and build comprehension.

• When was the last time you were so hungry that you could eat something that was not yours? What happened? Talk about it with a parent.
• The berry truck takes the bear to a place he had never been to before. What other story has a character who travels to a place they had never been to? Use a Venn diagram. How are they like the bear? How are they different? Share your diagram with a parent.
• The little dog tells a fib. Is this ok? Or is it a bad thing? Talk about it with a parent.
• With the help of a parent, find a kind of sandwich you have never eaten before. Make that sandwich for lunch!
