The Blind Men and the Elephant
When six blind men feel an elephant they each get a limited understanding of what it is.

Discovery Questions
- Each blind man thought the elephant was different. When did you misunderstand something, thinking it was something different? Talk about it with a parent.
- The prince understands the problem. He tells why the blind men disagree. What character in another book understands the problem? Use a Venn diagram to compare them. Find 5 ways they are alike. Then find five ways they are different.
- Talk to a parent. What problem does your community have? How can it be looked at differently?
- Pick a different animal. The Blind Men meet that animal. Write that story. Share it with a parent.
