Discovery Questions
Think about a book you have read about dogs, which are like wolves. Make a list of how dogs and wolves are the same. Make another list of how dogs and wolves are different. Which list is longer?
Do you think a wolf would make a good pet? Why or why not? Why is it better for some animals like wolves, to live in the wild?
Can you make a sound like a wolf? How would your howl sound if you were calling other wolves to you for fun? What about if you were a wolf in trouble? How would that howl sound? Why do you think people are scared of a wolf’s howl?
Draw a picture of a dog, then draw a picture of a wolf. Label where they are the same (they both have sharp teeth and claws) and where they are different (one is bigger). Pretend you are making your picture to teach someone else about wolves.
