  • Gorp was worried about what the other monsters would think of his mold problem. When were you worried about what other people would think of you? Talk about it with a parent.
  • Sassafras loves Gorp. Gorp does not love Sassafras. Think of another story where someone’s affection isn’t wanted. Use a Venn diagram. Find five ways the stories are alike. Then find five ways the stories are different.
  • Zoey is proud that she solved the mold problem all by herself. However, her mom gave her hints. Is it good that people can solve problems by themselves? Should they get input from others? Talk about it with a parent.
  • With the help of a parent, make a volcano with vinegar and baking soda. Have a parent help. You might want to do this outside.
