Make a difference today and help put a home library into the hands of every American PreK-5 student.
Every child enrolled in our program chooses award-winning, popular books to receive all season long.
Literacy is more than just fluency. Tucked in each book is a Discovery Sheet of title-specific learning activities intended to increase comprehension by expanding student thinking to the world around them.
Over the last decade, Kids Read Now (KRN) has put millions of new books in kids’ hands. This has substantially and significantly increased reading scores while providing weekly engagement and resources for schools serving children from low-income communities in 30 states, making kids’ dreams one step closer to reality.
Together, we can ignite the love for reading in children. Help us remove barriers so kids in need can learn, grow, and thrive. In addition to combatting learning loss, we’re promoting family engagement and brightening the future of students and their communities through books.
Kids Read Now… for success later.
Students attained the equivalent of over 3 months of learning, or approximately one-third of the learning taking place over the school year.

“This is an enriching program for all students. They are excited about receiving the books during the summer and return back to school in the fall and are so happy about the books. For many students the books are the start of building a home library. Parents also enjoy the fact that their children are reading through the summer.
