Discovery Questions
Did you know the moon doesn’t make its light? Sunlight bounces off the moon. It’s like shining a flashlight at someone in the dark. What other things can we see in the night sky because of the Sun’s light?
We didn’t always have electric lights. Before we had electricity, nighttime was very dark. Pretend there is no electricity. How is your life different? Talk about it.
Lightning is electric. Have a parent help you research what causes lightning.
Plants need sunlight to grow. They take the sunlight and turn it into sugars that the plant needs. We need them too! Do an experiment. Take two plants. Put one in a close, put the other in the sunlight. Don’t forget to water them both. See what happens to them. Share what you learn.
