Discovery Questions
What about space fascinates you? Make a list. From your list, write about it. Share your writing!
What is something you love to do that you couldn’t do or would have to find a way to do differently if you lived with no gravity? Write about it and share.
In space, astronauts have to use wet towels to wash off – because water doesn’t work well in microgravity. Have a parent help you. Do some research. How do they wash clothes on the ISS? Where do they get the water? What do they do with their trash? How do they get haircuts?
Using what you have learned, design a space station. Include areas for experiments, eating, sleeping, and recreation. Draw it all out and share!
