Clementine’s family doesn’t have a lot of money. They work hard, but have to work together to have enough money to pay the bills. What is another story where people have to work together to survive? Who is a character in that story? Use a Venn diagram to show ways these characters are alike. Then show ways they are different.
Clementine has a hard time in school. She finds it difficult to pay attention and stay still. Is it important for her to pay attention and to stay still? Why, or why not? Talk about this with a parent.
Clementine needed $20 for her mother’s gift. She came up with a creative way to get it. With a parent, come up with a list of other ways she could have gotten the $20 for her mother’s art supplies organizer. Draw the pictures of your solutions!
