Think of a time you asked for something, and a parent said, “No.” Did you ever ask again, and then they said, “Yes”? Tell about it in a story.
Farmer Brown is in a mess. He has to make a deal with the cows and hens. Have you read a similar story when someone was in a problem? Talk about how the stories are alike. Talk about how the stories are different.
The cows and hens go on strike. That means they all agree to stick together. They will not give any milk or eggs until they get electric blankets. They will stick together until they get what they want. Did it work? Are you surprised they all stick together? Talk about it.
Write a story that could come next. The ducks got the diving board. Don’t forget to draw and color the pictures!
