Do you ever get distracted when someone is talking or playing with you? What are some things you can do to make sure you are being a good listener?
In this story, Addie comes up with a plan to help her family spend time with each other. Think of a story you have read before where someone has to make a plan to bring everyone together. How were the plans the same or different?
Today, electronic games and devices are everywhere, and we can be distracted if we use them without rules or limits. Does your family have a rule about when you can use electronics? What would be something fun to do that is not an electronic game? How could you make other people aware that setting limits on electronic devices is good?
When you spend time with your family or friends, do you ever become distracted? Do other people? Make a plan with your family to spend time together with no electronics to distract people from listening to each other.
