Discovery Questions
The book suggests things that you can do to help save the environment for the endangered animals. Ask an adult to help. Organize a class, block, or community drive to educate people on simple ways to eliminate plastic from their lives.
With the help of an adult, organize a stream or river clean up.
It isn’t just trash that pollutes, but also what we put into our water. There are pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals that find their way into streams and rivers and can hurt the native animals. Write a letter to the Secretary of the Interior, asking for ways we can stop these harmful chemicals from getting into our water supply.
Most animals in this book are in danger of going extinct because of human interference. What can we do about it? Talk about it with an adult and make a plan.
