Discovery Questions
Both Josh and Aiden wanted to play for United. But the start was rocky. When have you wanted something badly? But when you got it, it was less than you thought it might be. Write about it and share.
Josh needed to trust that Evan would want to play as a team. Who else in another story you have read needed to trust someone? How are they like Josh? How are they different?
The team-building exercises didn’t help the boys play soccer better, but they played better as a team. Why? Talk about your ideas with a teammate or friend.
Research some team-building games with an adult. What are the rules? Do you need special equipment? See if you can play one of the games you learned with friends or family! After playing, write about what you learned about yourself and your friends and share.
