Discovery Questions
The school game of secret friends was supposed to bring classmates together. Instead it made Harry angry at Doug. When has someone been angry with you over a secret you had to keep? Write about it. Share your story with a parent.
Harry treated Doug terribly. So, he apologized. Think of another story where someone apologizes. Use a Venn diagram. How are they like Harry? How are they different? Share your diagram with a parent.
Since smoking kills people, why do some people still do it? Talk about it with a parent.
Pick someone to be your secret friend. It shouldn't be someone you know well, or even like very much, but they should be someone you can get a note to every day. Write that person a note, or give them a home-made gift every day for a week. At the end of a week let them know it was you who was thinking of them! Ask them how your notes and gifts made them feel!
