If you could travel to one place in this book, where would you go? Why would you go there? With a parent’s help research this location. Create an album of pictures you find. Make a list of your favorite things about this location.
Antarctica is the coldest place on the planet. Libya is the hottest place on the planet. Make a list of five other places that have extremely high temperatures. Make a list of five other places that have extremely low temperatures. What kinds of animals can be found? What kinds of plants can be found?
With a parent’s help, research what animals are found in the deepest part of the ocean. Make an album of what you find. How are these animals different than the animals found on the surface? How have they adapted to live in such depths?
