Sam loves to draw and paint. What are some things you love? Talk about it with a parent.
Sam gets messy. Who else in another story gets messy? How are they the same? How are they different? Talk about it with a parent.
The story ends with Sam taking a bath. He takes a bath because his mother wants him to. He loves her. This would make her happy. How do you show people that you love them? Talk about it with a parent.
Make a card to send to someone you love. In the card tell the person that you love them. Tell them how they make you feel. Draw and color pictures on your card. Have a parent help you. Mail your card to that person.
