Discovery Questions
In the second story, the stepmother tells the father he must make a choice. He can keep his new wife, or his daughter, but not both. When did you want two things, but could only have one? Talk about it with a parent.
There are things all fairy tales have in common. Have a parent help you. Find five ways these stories are like other fairy tales.
In all these versions of Snow White someone is jealous of her. It is because she is the most beautiful. Why is it wrong to judge a person based on their physical appearance? Talk about this with a parent.
Write your own version of the story. Pick a person to be evil. Then pick a person to be the victim (it does not need to be a beautiful girl). Then pick people who will help the victim. Share your story with a parent. Don’t forget to draw and color the pictures.
