Discovery Questions
Judy feels like she always has to be the best at something. When do you feel that way? Write about it in a story. Share your story with a parent.
When Judy’s friends played a trick on her she felt betrayed. What character in another book also feels betrayed? Using a Venn diagram, compare the two characters. Find five ways they are alike. Then find five ways they are different.
Judy takes things that don’t belong to her. She takes Stink’s belly button. She takes Toady, and wants to operate on him. Why is this behavior not acceptable? What could she have done instead? Talk about it with a parent.
Judy keeps a Mood Book. She sometimes writes poems in it. For one week keep a Mood Book, and write at least one poem in it about how you are feeling that day!
