Think of a time when you had to reach a goal. Did you use a strategy similar to Katarina's? Were you successful? If not, after reading this book, would trying again with more practice be helpful? Why or why not?
Think of a book with a character facing a problem similar to Katarina’s. List the strategies the characters in each book used to solve their problems and meet their goals. Which items on the list are similar and which are different? Who do you think was most successful in meeting their goal?
Katarina is very passionate about dancing and aims to be a dancer on the international dance team, making her a leader in the dance company. What is something you are passionate about? Who are the leaders in that field? What did they do to become one of the best at what they do?
A ballet performance tells a story through movement and music. There are no words like you would see in a play or opera. Try adding music and movement to your favorite children’s book with a friend. Did your movement effectively reflect the story so that others could follow along?
