- What are some questions you have had about what’s inside the earth and how did this book help you understand what is really there?
- Miss Frizzle’s classroom and field trips are sure exciting. Write about another story where the main character creates an exciting place for the other characters and tell how he or she is like Miss Frizzle.
- Draw a map of your neighborhood with all the buildings and roads. Show where there are different kinds of rock, how they are used (buildings, pavement, etc.) and label what kinds of rock they are.
- Imagine you are on an island with no plants. How would you build a shelter, eat, and have clothing? Write a story about it.
