Discovery Questions

  • Unlike most other predators, tigers live alone. What must that feel like? How would you like living completely alone? Why? Talk about it with a parent.
  • Tigers do not like to share. They mark their territory by rubbing against things. This keeps other tigers away. Name five things you hate sharing with anyone else. Name five things you don't mind sharing. Share your lists with a parent.
  • Not everyone can see animals in their natural habitats. However, most people can see many animals in zoos. But this means the animals are "locked up." Is this good or bad? Discuss this with a parent.
  • A white Bengal tiger is very rare. With the help of a parent make a list of other animals on the endangered species list. Draw pictures of each of these animals.
