Lark has found a magical sword. Swords have been used in stories for hundreds of years! Think of another story that involves someone finding or using a magical sword. How were the characters and adventures the same or different? Which story do you like best and why?
Museums hold many everyday common objects, or artifacts, from long ago. Each artifact tells a story about the time period it is from. If someone visited a museum in the future and found something from your house, what story would it tell?
Did you know that many museums display their collections on their websites? With an adult, find a museum in another city and look at its website. What kinds of objects do they house? Do they have descriptions and stories about some of the objects? Are you surprised by how old some of the objects are?
