Discovery Questions

  • The tilt of the earth causes the seasons. Not all seasons are hot or cold – some are wet or dry. What are the seasons where you live? Which one is your favorite? Why? Write about it and share.
  • The North Pole and the South Pole are covered in ice sheets. Ice sheets are melting. Polar bears need to use the ice to hunt and rest. Is the ice melting a problem? Why do you think so? Talk about it.
  • Many people live north of the Arctic Circle. How do you think they live? What do they eat? What do they wear? How do they travel? Have a parent help you look up how people in very cold climates live. Share what you learn!
  • What animals do you think live in the Arctic? Do any of the animals live only there? How do they live? How do they keep warm? What do they eat? Have an adult help you learn about Arctic animals.

Discovery Questions are available in 100+ languages in the app.
