Discovery Questions
What is something you like to do? Have you gone for lessons on how to do it better? How is what you do like Raj and his playing the piano? Talk about it with a parent.
Raj returns home when he learns that his father is ill. What other character in another story needs to be comforted? How are they like Raj’s father? Use a Venn diagram. Find five ways they are alike. Then find five ways they are different.
Why did Raj get more and more tired the more he practiced? Why did he decide to give up playing the piano? Couldn’t he continue to play the pieces he made up, that made him happy? Talk about it with a parent.
Make up a song about Raj and his piano playing. Use the tune of another song. Sing it for a parent.
