In this story, Slumby is slower than the other animals and does not always have someone to play with on the playground... until his friends see his slowness as a superpower! Can you think of another story where someone did not fit in at first but then was celebrated?
We all have things about us that make us special, it might be being brave, being kind, or maybe even running fast. What makes you special? What is your favorite thing about being you?
When we think too fast or have strong emotions, it can be hard to think calmly. Next time you get very worried or angry, what do you think would happen in your brain if you told yourself to smile, breathe, and move slowly?
