The Bear family has some house rules. Like no playing ball in the house. Does your family have house rules too? Name them. Are these rules fair or unfair? Discuss this with a parent.
The cubs were not honest. They lied to prevent getting into trouble because they had broken the rules. What other character in another story lied for some reason? How is that character like the cubs? How are they different? Use a Venn diagram to show how they are alike and different.
Why is it important to always be honest? Talk about this with a parent.
Other than playing ball inside the house, what are ten other things the cubs could have had fun doing? Write them down, and draw the pictures. Share your pictures with a parent.
