Discovery Questions
There are things we need to do all the time. When have you forgotten to do something that is seemingly routine, but became really important once you forgot all about it? Write that story. Share it with a parent.
The mom told the boy to wash his hands. The boy didn't listen to her. Think of another story where someone didn't listen to their parent. Use a Venn diagram. How are they like the boy in the story? How are they different? Share your diagram with a parent.
When the boy finally comes in to wash his hands they are disgusting. While you might not carry furniture, a toaster, and your grandfather's wig on your hands, what might you be carrying? Talk about it with a parent.
This is a tall tale. Things did stick to the boy's hands, but not the dog and a blender! Make up your own tall tale about someone who doesn't take a bath. Don't forget to draw and color the pictures! Share your story with a parent.
