  • Temple was made fun of. It hurt her feelings. What character in another story was made fun of? Use a Venn diagram. Find five ways that character is like Temple. Then find five ways they are different.
  • When Temple was growing up she was told that she was not smart. But she was smart. She just thought differently than other people. Why is it important not to judge others? Discuss it with a parent.
  • Do you have questions about how animals think and feel? Write a letter to Temple Grandin at the Department of Animal Science, Colorado State University. Ask her what you want to know. With a parent's help, mail the letter.
