Sam’s mom forgot to pack his lunch. It is easy to forget things. What have you forgotten lately? Draw a picture of yourself doing it. Share your picture.
Sam's friends help him. Think of another story. Who is a character in that story? How are they helped by their friends? Use a Venn diagram. Find 5 ways they are alike. Then find 5 ways they are different.
Pretend Sam is your friend. Would you share your lunch with Sam? Why? How much would you share? Talk about it with a parent.
Pretend you are Sam. Your friends gave you lunch. Write each of them a thank you note. Share your notes with a parent.
