The chameleon changes colors. When he is on red, he turns red. When he is on brown, he turns brown. What could you do if you could change colors? Talk about it with a parent.
The chameleon wants to be like other animals. Who, in a different story, wants to be like someone else? How are they alike? How are they different? Talk about it with a parent.
With help, research chameleons. What do they eat? Where do they live? What kinds of weather do they like? Write a book about what you learn.
Pretend you are the chameleon. What parts of other animals would you like? Write your own story about who you would be.
