The Name Jar

When Unhei moves to the United States from Korea, she feels she needs a new name. When have you felt that you needed to change something about yourself so you would fit in with your friends better? How was your experience like Unhei's? How was it different? Talk about it with a parent.
The children in Unhei's class were confused. They didn't know why she didn't have a name. What other character in another story was embarrassed about something that they didn't want to share? How are they like Unhei? How are they different? Compare them using a Venn diagram.
