Discovery Questions
What would you see if you could fly as high as Tiny Tern? When you talk about looking at something from very high, it is called a “bird’s eye view”. How would where you live look from a “bird’s eye view”?
Think of a story you have read about someone who has to travel. What is the story about? In that story, did the person have to travel as far as Tiny Tern? Why or why not?
Tiny Tern and his friends must fly to the other side of the world. With your adult, use a map to find out what country is on the other side of the world from you. Read about what people eat and what kind of houses they live in that country. Do they live the same or differently than you and your family?
When you imagine how your neighborhood looks from a “bird’s eye view,” what do you see in your mind? Describe it to your adult. Now, draw a picture of what you think it might look like from a bird flying high above you.
