After your child receives and reads this book, Discuss one or more of the following questions to help him/her make connections and build comprehension.

• Nolan did not get any good pictures his first day. However, he persisted. What is something you were not always good at. Did you get better with more practice? Write about it. Share your story with a parent.
• Bubba is a bully. Think of another story with a bully. Use a Venn diagram. How are they like Bubba? How are they different? Share your diagram with a parent.
• Bullies are everywhere. Not just in schools. Adult bullies were bullies as kids. With the help of a parent identify some adults who are bullies.
• Mr. Green suggests that Shredderman can catch people in the act of being kind. Invent your own newspaper, where you point out people being kind. Print it, and share it with family and friends!
