Kamshia Childs, Ed.D., holds a doctorate in curriculum and instruction. She’s been a literacy instructor for more than two decades in urban and rural settings in K-12 and higher education. She has published several literacy and multicultural education articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored and self-published a book, and presents at various state, national, and international conferences on topics related to literacy, educator empowerment, parent involvement, and culturally relevant pedagogy.
Dr. Childs has been a teacher in grade levels 4-6, teaching all subjects (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies), but her specialty area is English Language Arts and Reading.
