Sonja Bloetner, M.A
Ms. Sonja Bloetner is a co-founder of CREATE Solutions, LLC. For the past four years, she and her team have been providing consulting services to support the curriculum and professional development needs of school systems and non-profit organizations.
Her goal is to help diverse learners and leaders to become change agents in their fields of study and industries to solve real world problems in the United States and in the global community. In addition, she has also held the role of the Prek-12 Supervisor of the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program in a large suburban district in Maryland, where she has provided professional learning for teachers and leaders and developed curriculum resources for PreK-12.
She recently published Formative Assessment Strategies for English Language Learners with Teacher Created Materials, Inc. and Leading Success for Diverse Learners: Transforming the Matrix of Your School System. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish. She also holds a master’s degree in instructional systems design and development with certification in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), K-12, from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
She also holds additional certifications in school administration. During her tenure as an educator, Sonja taught a range of both Spanish and ESOL classes at the elementary and secondary levels. As an instructional specialist, she has also written curriculum for elementary ESOL students and designed professional development for both ESOL staff and administrators.
